This Tobermore tegula driveway installation in Glasgow and Baillieston to be more specific was installed for our returning clients Stewart and Mark, We have now done two gardens and two driveways for Stewart and Mark over the years.
The design brief of this job was to create two car parking spaces on the driveway for both vehicles but also to be aesthetically pleasing on the eye, with the addition of driveway lighting and white marble chip they certainly wanted it to be as eye catching as their home inside and we think certainly achieved that.
We suggested and designed a 45 degree pathway to the front door using Tobermore slate tegula in two sizes, although there is always more cutting in this kinda of pathway we felt the feature it gave the driveway really set the whole project off.
The two equal size driveway spaces for both cars worked in perfectly with the home and the slate grey and charcoal tones of the tegula block paving really compliment the warm tones of the building itself.
We also done a drop kerb at this job to create a larger driveway entrance to accommodate the two separate driveway spaces. Drop kerbs are achieved by removing the existing road kerbs and installing smaller bullnose kerbs, this is then paved with tarmac to match the surrounding pavement and road substructure. Planning permission for this is required from the local authority and we can certainly help with this
The driveway was then bordered with an L shape white marble border with electrical lights, again this is something we can help with if you want to add lighten to your driveway or landscaping project
With our lifetime guarantee and Tobermore’s 25 year product guarantee, getting an installation like this not only lasts a lifetime but if you were ever planning on moving home then the value a new driveway adds to your home really is worth the money regardless.
