Porcelain Paving Design And Installationg
To align with our client’s desires for an outdoor space suitable for relaxation and entertaining, a large portion of the garden design was focused on paving. For this garden transformation, we designed and installed a porcelain patio to provide a private retreat. The patio was installed behind the garage, blocking view from the street and creating an intimate atmosphere that was ideal for quality time with loved ones.
This patio was elevated using a mansory clad in Town Grey Porcelian slabs to provide a stunning contrast to the main paved areas of the garden. The raised patio not only makes the best use out of the available space, but also provides a clear view of the whole garden so our clients can relax while simultaneously keeping an eye on their grandkids as they play outside.
Porcelain Paving And Turfing
For a smooth transition from the raised patio to the rest of the garden, we used the same porcelain paving slabs to craft a garden pathway leading down the centre of the landscape. This pathway separates the two grass areas and mirrors the home’s architecture for cohesive appeal.
These lawn areas create a lush playground for our client’s grandchildren and will remain in prime condition all year round due to the use of artificial turfing. Artificial lawns are an ideal solution for low-maintenance gardens, as they provide the same feel and appearance as real grass but do not need to be mowed, watered or fertilised. It is completely safe for children and can be used all year round.
To bring the garden design together, the borders of the garden feature porcelain planters, in the same slabs as the pathways and patio to create a cohesive appearance to the whole garden. In these plants, aritifal buxus spheres and white marble chips have been installed to create a low-maintenance display that continues to look great throughout the year.
Importantly, an emotive neon sign was added amid the artificial foliage, creating a personal sanctuary and contrasting with the robust hardwood fencing.
Garden Lighting and Fencing
A new hardwood fence was designed and installed by our team to enhance the privacy and appeal of this garden transformation. Slender Siberian larch slats have been expertly spaced and installed by our fencing experts, creating a contemporary fence that surrounds the whole garden and secures the privacy of our clients as they enjoy their new outdoor space.
Garden lighting was another significant feature of this garden transformation, with warm uplights strategically placed across the porcelain planters, offering a warm glow to the garden at night. LED light strips have been used to illuminate the raised patio area, and a bespoke neon sign has been installed against a background of artificial foliage.
This adds a touch of personality to the garden and offers a beautiful contrast to the clean lines and contemporary design of the paving and timber fencing.
