The Garden Design Process
For this garden renovation, we were tasked with creating a multi-functional outdoor space that can be used for a range of occasions. The design centred primarily on the porcelain paving, but our clients still wanted some natural elements to adorn the landscape.
To make this garden suitable for both children and adults, we designed a bespoke lawn area and bordering flower beds that would allow our clients to add colour and texture to their surroundings as the seasons progress. The finished design was a contemporary layout that is low-maintenance and all-weather suitable due to the large paved area.
Porcelain Paving And Turfing
The main area of this garden renovation is the porcelain paving. With steps leading down from the property, the majority of the garden was paved in a combination of porcelain tiles and cobblestones to create a beautiful contrast between the main patio area and the paved borders.
While the majority of this garden is paved, there is a lawn area that is ideal for young children or simply adding some greenery to the monochromatic, contemporary design. The lawn area has been custom-made to align with the organic layout of the landscape, ensuring our clients have plenty of space for all occasions.
Fencing And Finishing Touches
To offer privacy and security to the family garden, we installed timber fencing in a contemporary horizontal pattern. This not only provides privacy by blocking the view from surrounding gardens, but also enhances the overall aesthetic of this modern garden design.
While the major aspects of the garden makeover are complete, we will return to this property in Burnside for the planting and landscaping in the flowerbeds which border the main patio.
