Garden Makeover Project Overview
For this project, The Glasgow Paving Company were asked to renovate a large family garden that lacked attraction and practicality. Our clients wanted a space suitable for their children, as well as areas that could be enjoyed by the rest of the family.
We chose a combination of paved patios and artificial grass to meet the varying needs of the family.
Slate Patio Installation
Using Brazilian Black slate, we created two mixed-sized patios that could be used for outdoor entertaining, dining or relaxing.
The main patio area was installed at the rear of the property, leading directly out into the garden from the home. The second patio was at the rear of the garden to capture the sun as it moves, creating the ideal space for seating or dining.
Artificial Turf
To create a low-maintenance garden makeover, our clients requested artificial grass. Artificial grass is a great alternative to traditional grass because it provides the same greenery and feel without needing watering or mowing, which is why it is a popular choice for many families across Glasgow.
For this project, we chose a child and pet-friendly artificial grass that is also UV stable to prevent fading over time.
Flower Bed Design
For additional soft landscaping in the future, we also installed a raised timber sleeper flower bed at the rear of the garden.
