Preparation And Excavation
Before we could install the new cobble driveway, the existing surface needed to be excavated and removed. This was a complex process, as our team had to take care to avoid damaging the surrounding structures, such as the sandstone walls. These traditional features would remain a focal point for the home and therefore needed to be protected, while also removing the existing surface for a solid foundation.
A clear surface was required to create a solid, reliable foundation for the new cobble driveway as this ensures long-term stability of the paving stones.
Cobblestone Driveway Design
This cobble driveway was specifically designed to complement the traditional property and the surrounding landscapes, such as the charming sandstone retaining walls. Our clients wanted to maintain the charm and appeal of their home while also having a secure place to park their vehicles.
To align with these desires, we chose a mix of iron grey and canvas- coloured cobblestones to create this driveway.
